Triplets born to granny

A 54 years old, Arcelia Garcia, mother of eight, who has 15 grandchildren, has given birth to triplets on Jan 8, 2000. She gave birth by caesarean section to three healthy girls at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital ( Washington ). The triplets weigh about 1.8 to 2.3 kg each.
Arcelia plans to return to work as farmworker as soon as health and her babies allow.

A women in 50s pregnant with triplets is extremely rare, especially without the aid of fertility drugs.
